  • Using Club Soda To Remove Red Wine Stains On Your Carpet

  • Welcome to today's blog post. The great debate goes on, does club soda really remove red wine stains from carpet & rugs ? Club soda is essentially just carbonated water with some salts added and why should it remove red stains. For some it works whilst for others it hasn't worked. Lets delve in to discuss a little further.

    Our findings have been that the bubble's in the club soda are the key to the success in removing the stain.

     

     

  • But for us the main thing is really how fast you can get to the stain and the type of carpet you have. Here's a few pointers - 

    • Attend to the stain as quick as possible
    • Blot the liquid up with some paper towels or a white towel
    • Pour some club soda on the stain and blot again
    • Repeat as required 
    • DO NOT use washing up liquid, vanish or any over the counter bought products

    Synthetic fibers will slowly absorbs liquids which gives you a small window of opportunity to remove the red wine. After all this if the stain remains its time to call in the professionals.
